Brothers,
It is hard to believe that this year is already nearing its end. It feels like only yesterday that many of us met for Merit Badge College back in January. I would like to take a moment to reflect on the year, as well as look ahead to what will come.
Despite the unprecedented circumstances that have arisen over the past few months, you as Arrowmen have come together on many occasions and made it possible for Lowwapaneu Lodge to continue to thrive. These efforts allowed for a successful Ordeal weekend in August where over thirty new members were inducted, a Brotherhood Day in October that allowed sixteen members to Seal the Bond of Brotherhood, as well as our action packed Fall Fellowship event in November. Between these events and other service projects, we were able to provide cheerful service to both Goose Pond and Camp Acahela, keeping them in pristine condition for when they reopen in the near future. This was also a historic year for Lowwapaneu, as we successfully passed amendments to our Lodge By-Laws for the first time in over ten years! Aside from that, Lowwapanews is of course still on YouTube, providing detailed instruction of many Scout Skills and some hilarious entertainment too.
In addition to what has been accomplished thus far, there are still many exciting things planned for the coming months! The Lodge Leadership Development is right around the corner on January 17th. Save the date! If you would like to become more active in the Lodge and develop your professional skills at the same time, this is the place to do it! Make sure to follow, friend, and subscribe to @lowwapaneu191 on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to stay connected to the Lodge! Finally, keep an eye on Lowwapaneu’s YouTube channel to see how you can tune in to a virtual version of the Holiday Banquet to close out the year!
I am very proud of all that we have accomplished together this year and look forward to continuing this amazing momentum into 2021. The time to get involved in the OA is NOW!
